DUBAI, UAE, January 4, 2011 - JamDubai, an intimate live concert series continues on Wednesday 26 January 2011 with the distinctive musical stylings of Gypsy Kings very own lead singer Mario Reyes, affectionately referred to as ‘The Gipsy Man’. The third installment of the series that has seen past performances from Navi, the #1 Michael Jackson impersonator and Japanese violin sensation Diana Yukawa, takes place under the stars at the Dusk Terrace at Radisson Blu, Media City.
Part of the Reyes family largely known as ‘The Gipsy Kings’, Mario Reyes is a solo performer and a guitar virtuoso whose musical journey has taken him through various genres, including flamenco to Catalan rumba and more recently to Arabic inspired compositions, culminating is his latest release “The Gipsy Man Sings from the Middle East".
His collaboration with Carol Samaha, Lebanese musician and actress and Ilham Al Madfai, Iraq’s beloved musician and artist are widely regarded as some of the most definitive collections of pan Arab music worldwide.
